CHROM formed in May 2007, out of a taste for punchy, danceable electro that still carries a melody.

The first show followed in 2008 at Electronic Nightmare Festival in Cologne, and the debut EP “Manufactured” came out the same year. “Electroscope” arrived in 2010, “Synthetic Movement” in 2012, and “Peak & Decay” in 2016, which charted in Germany.

Christian Marquis has led CHROM on his own since 2022, joined on stage by Alexander Suttmer on keyboards.

The sound sets the weight of EBM against the lift of futurepop and the melodies of synthpop. On stage that means hard beats, deep bass and choruses that follow you out of the venue.
